Nurturing our Resilient Futures

Hi, I'm Joan.

As an embodiment practitioner and grant writer, I'm devoted to our collective resilience in this time of multiple crises. Sometimes, that means using somatics and trance to bolster you and yours amidst rapid change. Other times, that means writing grants to fund your community's dream projects. Together, we honor your visions for a life-affirming future and bring them to reality.

Why Somatics + Trance

As modern humans, we're trained to rely on reason and logic. But our rational minds can't hold this much unpredictability. We struggle with everyday stresses, let alone wild weather, spreading viruses, political instability and more.Thankfully, the conscious mind is a tiny part of us. We can tap into guidance from our own bodies and connections with nature. This is Part I of my work: embodiment practices that calm your nervous system, expand your emotional capacity, strengthen your unique intuition, and build your self trust.

New Ways of Thriving

With the support of somatics and trance, we can handle multiple crises and build new systems for resilient futures. Encouraging the latter is Part II of my work. Our thinking often is limited to hierarchical human structures. I hold space for you to attune to nature's lessons: our interdependence with plants, animals, and other beings. Times for rest and harvest instead of constant hustle and growth.Reconnecting with these truths reveals alternative ways of thriving personally, at the community level, and within entire societies. When you're ready to transform ideas into funded projects, I invite you to Part III of my work: grant writing.
